01 About Departure Gaze upon uncertainty, weakness for complacency, we failed to turn from Strength built on stolidity Fading fortune, dazed with fear We gonna lead the way for the distance may lead to salvation come upon a land of bliss Friendships drowned by ignorance Bonds broken by vanity, as we left them burning Hopefully, we will hear them calling Honestly, I have shut them out We gonna lead the way for the distance may lead to salvation come upon a land of bliss (come upon a land of fortune) Lead the way through will and through determination come upon a land of bliss distance makes the heart grow fonder

Pathfinder 03:24
02 Pathfinder Off we sail again Deep into the sea From the shores of grief To oceans of relief Steer the rudder, hard to port Give us strength and give us... ...hope we go to the waves we're calling we're falling... ...apart, we float to the end of time and beyond horizons we go Down we go again Far into the sky Might we find again the friends we've left behind Steer the rudder, hard to port Give us strength and give us... ...hope, we go to the waves we're calling we're falling... ...apart, we float to the end of time and beyond horizons we go Anytime, anywhere Give us course, so we can care Steer the rudder, hard to port Give us strength and give us... ...hope, we go to the waves we're calling we're falling... ...apart, we float to the end of time and beyond horizons we go

04 Unbreakable Sick of walking through the dark Turn our faces to eternity We will never be the same We are unbreakable I.) Cannot wait for the light By never risking a glimpse into darkness Cannot hope to arrive By never leaving our home in the first place I know that we want to be better I can see the path Sick of walking through the dark Turn our faces to eternity We will never be the same We are unbreakable II.) We will go through the night hand in hand through the darkness (darkness) And wherever we go Is whatever we see from the distance (distance) I know that we want to be better I can see the path Sick of walking through the dark Turn our faces to eternity We will never be the same We are unbreakable

05 This Is Infinite Now, I’ve been hoping that we’re not broken No last words spoken in here For all that distress, inane abruptness We’re settling that we’re not insane And the way that this emptiness dwells on us Boundaries to come crashing down Now… Heads up, the light leads the Way, we take We follow the light Approaching storms We chose to abide With tides approaching the course unaltered Haul tight! We’re settling the sail For all, that’s ruptured, sublime corruptness deep waters to us look the same And the way, we perceive, this is infinite, dark and inscrutably vain Now… Listen, the sound leads the Way, we take We follow the light Approaching storms We chose to abide far, far away hope will be guidance to shore and navigate right through the eye of the storm Listen, the sound leads the way Way, we take We follow the light Approaching storms We chose to abide, we take We follow the light

06 Altercations Travelers! We are off to the sea, in the dark Bid goodbye to friends and to those left behind Wish upon the stars That we’ll see them again Wish upon the heavens The struggle’s all done on your mark get set lock and load standby to fire steadfast here we go Explorers! We are driven by the urge to be complete Haunted by the shadows of the friends that we have lost Praying to the heavens All struggles are gone Drifting from Shore Where will this journey end I’m cold And I cannot see the land The stormy and monstrous sea When will I be free. Now I’m sinking in the sea Can you hear me, can you hear me I am drowning constantly Can you hear me, hear me scream Hear me scream

Flint 02:04
07 Flint Countdown to the thunder Tells us, we’re not far away Though, it’s not out there, the storm, it is right here Way too close for comfort Trying to be atop of all Hoping for that storm to find its way We burst into flames We burst into flames Fire, fire. Too close for comfort We only see the Fire, fire. Too close for comfort Sir, we are going down

08 Mind and Matter broken, battered i am going home mind and matter this is all i own i am turning in, to the lost i call out hey my friends now, i am coming home And in the night There will be light There will be bliss and shelter And in the cold There will be fire We’ll walk through all this welter To the unknown stars I look above Always hoping, memories are enough I am heading for Our hailing port now Hey, my loved ones I'm returning home
9.
09 From Ship to Shore O Captain! my Captain! our fearful trip is done, The ship has weather’d every rack, the prize we sought is won, The port is near, the bells I hear, the people all exulting, While follow eyes the steady keel, the vessel grim and daring; But O heart! heart! heart! O the bleeding drops of red, Where on the deck my Captain lies, Fallen cold and dead. (O Captain! My Captain! Walt Whitman, 1865)

Open Arms 03:56
10 Open Arms For all this time For all we knew We thought we're broken Biding still to rise Drew in the reins And followed rapture With open arms With open eyes We are embracing All that we are All we've become We are the favored All that we've longed For all that we've seen We are not broken All that we've lost And all we've found Is worth its weight in gold With open arms With open eyes We are embracing All that we are All we've become We are the favored For all this time And all we know We are not broken With open arms With open eyes We are embracing All that we are All we've become We are the favored

Nautilus 05:56
11 Nautilus Oceans are remembered In each and every stage Instances abandoned State of mind objects the state of heart AND WE WILL LOOK Up above There is love Tell the lost about the sea Time to show And to grow Until "thou at length art free" Water up against a broken, weathered door Building a headroom, a place to groom that as long as we're alive AND WE WILL LOOK Up above There is love Tell the lost about the sea Time to show And to grow Until "thou at length art free" We’ll grow For we won’t suffer

////////////////////////

We are navigators, traveling through the darkest night, diving into the deepest oceans. What binds us is unity, what drives us is urgency and this time we seek clarity. THE BLACKWHITECOLORFUL describe this quest from departure to arrival, from beginning to end, from our homes to the farthest outposts. It’s an introspective gaze using outward-looking tools. With the aid of alternative rock with borrowings from post-rock and post-hardcore, the quartet consisting of Sascha [voc/git], Jonas [b], Michael [git] and Alex [dr], set out to write this itinerary. Through still and storm, we navigate.

Their new record LIVE TO TELL THE TALE describes this journey, from beginning to end, from heading out into the distance and returning the hailing port. It will be released January 24th, 2020.
